It comes with advanced options for customising the cleaning schedule, such as selecting a time to start and end every cycle, or choosing whether it should vacuum carpets prior to mopping. It can drive up to walls and avoid steps without crashing. It also automatically raises the mop when driving on short-pile carpets. However, it did struggle a little when encountering longer-pile carpets and some long, thick messes of dried-on debris.

Like most robots, the S1 Pro comes ready to come out of the box, and requires only the initial mapping run to learn its way around your home. The map will then be displayed in the app, and you can add or join rooms as needed. You can also create virtual boundaries such as no-mop zones, no-go zones, and no-go areas if you don't want the robot to get into certain objects.
