Another potential downside is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You will need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.

On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad apparatus. It's a huge contrast to the basic black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an impressive sight in an industry dominated by boxy units.
