The best robot vacuum and mop under $500 Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that is priced in the middle. It's a great mopping performance but lacks some of the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to map out your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, such as a dirt compartment that is built into the charging base. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automatic schedules that will give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the push of one button. You can choose an overall clean that emphasizes the removal of large debris such as cereal and rice or two thorough mappings of your area to ensure your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum performs well both on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some others do, and it can even remove pet hair with ease. It does have a hard time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot promises it will improve with the next models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the hockey puck-like design of robovacs, but we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

The only downside is that it does not have a second rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but it's an affordable cost to pay if want one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank is also bigger than those on many of its rivals and takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to scrub hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the higher-powered ones produce minimal noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without interruption. If it encounters the wall or a furniture piece, it gently bumps into it and moves along.

What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash into the bin hidden in the background and cleans and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is not right for example, the water tank being empty or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to the bin being full.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to alter how the Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is helpful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it to.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a sensor that can detect obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

This produces a precise floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop with ease without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our test on the hard floor and getting rid of all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops are efficient, removing 98.4% of debris on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from our hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
