Slot Missions in Hogwarts

Slot missions are a great way to earn gear weapons, equipment and more. But they're also hard to do.

The smuggle wild slots can be used to store a wide assortment of items, from concussion devices to explosives used in weapons to subdued concussions. These items are hidden in locations around the map. They can also be retrieved at anytime. Smuggled items are different from Agency Pickups or Hidden Stashes which hide only small objects in scenery and objects.

Mission planning is a feature that is available in episodic missions that allows players to gain access to different starting points as well as smuggled items and gear slots prior to their entry into the map. As players advance through challenges and unlock new Mission Mastery levels, these options for planning expand. This allows players the ability to design the perfect mission for every difficulty.

Gear Slot

Early on in the game players will find their gear slots fill up, leading to the dreaded "Your Gear Slots are full" message, which blocks Max from selecting new equipment until the old items are cleared or more space is found. Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials are the solution to this problem. They offer more inventory space for completing challenges missions. Since a lot of these challenges could be missed and are scattered around the world, it may take some time to obtain the most slots for inventory in the game.

Each player can have up to five different types of gear in their five Gear Slots. These are to be selected from the Gear Selection menu prior to the break-in. Each gear item (except for the Pistol), takes up one Gear Slot, while a grouping of similar items (such as a grouping of Grenades) only uses one Gear Slot.

Agents can pick up the passengers.

As you progress through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock various agency pickups that are on the map. These locations allow you to store items that do not fit in your concealed slot for weapons or gear and retrieve them later.

These pickups are especially useful when you have to pass through a frisk at the end of the mission, or if you are carrying a weapon that might otherwise be suspect. But, you are only able to conceal one item per game at an agency pickup location.

This DLC adds new contracts for asset protection and security to the agency. Talk to the receptionist at the agency and stock up on snacks and armor. Then, go to the stated mission marker and identify a mob at the time of arrival.
