Three Wheeled Buggies

Whether you're seeking a buggy to run with or just a compact stroller for neighbourhood walks, three wheeled buggies provide great mobility. Their compact design makes it easy to maneuver, even in tight places.

MFM reviewer Kath tried the buggy with a newborn and 3 year old and found that it coped well with cobbles, grass, rough roads, dirt tracks, and kerbs. Kath said that "it is solid to push and is very stable when going over difficult terrain. The tyres, which are inflatable and require to be pumped up occasionally, have built-in suspension. This was extremely comfortable for my kids.

The shape and size of the seat is a further factor to think about. It is important for the seat to be big enough to allow your child to be at ease and to lie down. Some three-wheel buggies offer the option of lying flat that allows your child to lie flat and face you, whereas others only allow a parent-facing one.

A great option for those who want to tackle off-road and muddy walks is the Roma Atlas. MFM reviewer Kath tested a 3 wheel infant stroller wheeler with her newborn and toddler and wrote: "The Terrain was a delight to maneuver on the ground with the swivel rear wheel being especially helpful. I was also awed by how well it handled kerbs with the hand-operated break. I found it to be extremely stable when going downhill or over uneven terrain."

The only drawback of this incredible maneuverability is that the 3 wheeler stroller wheel buggy's bigger wheels sometimes mean it has to struggle in tight spaces, something to consider especially if you live in a metropolitan area. If this is an issue then a 4-wheeled buggy could be the better option for you.
