WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. A random extra substat is also increased with each upgrade.

The more modernized gear generally has a greater value for trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the need to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities and can be accessed at any time to upgrade your gear. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

The cost of upgrades will be based on the current item level of the gear being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment from other sources. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from another player will costs 105.

Upgrades are items which can be used to improve the quality of weapons and tools, armor and other items. They can be purchased from NPCs of item upgraders for various currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Crests

Utilizing these new currencies isn't too complicated, but the system will introduce a few changes to the overall upgrade process. For example, once an item reaches the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is designed to allow players to upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible on all their characters instead of relying only on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests with care, since they are only used for one purpose. It's best to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment that you can find and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly relevant for rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, which can only be eligible to avail the discount for all accounts when all slots are filled with top-quality equipment.
