WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boost in certain statistics. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by +3. A random extra substat is also added to each upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrade upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item upgrader mod is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current level of the item. For example, weapons will cost more than bracers, or gloves.
