Path of Exile Item Upgrading

The best way to upgrade your gear in Path of Exile is through upgrading your items. This allows you to improve it without having to rely on expensive trades or drops. This article will help you understand how to upgrade your gear.

Upgrading equipment grants an additional bonus to the item's base stats. This bonus scales based on the rarity and strength of the upgrade component.

Components

Upgrade components can make your armour and weapons stronger. They can be found by destroying enemies, purchasing them from karma vendors, or finding them in item-spheres. They can also be salvaged from equipment that has them, or by utilizing an advanced salvage kit like the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components are not destroyed when you remove them from the item.

The primary function of upgrade components is to allow an item to be upgraded, but they also serve other functions. They can be used to increase the quality of an upgradeable item or they can be used to boost the experience gained when upgrading an existing weapon or piece of equipment. They can also be made to offer additional benefits. A glyph that has been crafted can increase the chances of upgrading its target, while an upgrade boosts the attack or defense capabilities of the weapon.

You can bind an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. This will display the upgrade components that the item can be updated. Sets
